Maintenance
Regular maintenance will increase the life and safety of your Rollz Motion. Rollz
International recommends maintenance takes place every two months.
Adjusting the brakes
While squeezing the hand brakes, the Rollz Motion should be unable to move.
After releasing the hand brakes, the Rollz Motion should be able to move
freely. Test the brake function before each use. If stopping performance is not
adequate, there are two ways to adjust the brakes. The adjustment screw by
the rear wheel is for basic or significant adjustment. The adjustment in Figure
12 beneath the locking knob at the end of the handlebar is for fine-tuning brake
performance. Make sure both the left and right side are adjusted properly.
1. Adjustment below (Figure 11)
Unscrew the locking bolt on the inside of the rear wheel. To tighten the brakes,
turn the adjusting screw clockwise (right). To loosen the brakes, turn the
adjusting screw counterclockwise (left).
2. Adjustment above (Figure 12)
Unscrew the locking disc just below the height adjustment knob / lever. To
tighten the brakes, turn the adjusting screw clockwise (right). To loosen the
brakes, turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise (left).
WARNING: Make sure the larger rear wheels do not turn while adjusting the
brakes. Both hand brake levers should be in the neutral position (not engaged or
locked) while adjusting the brakes.
WARNING: Stop using the Rollz Motion and contact your supplier if the brakes fail
to operate adequately after you have performed the above-mentioned steps.
